Sleep Medicine

Personalized sleep care in Henderson, Nevada, supporting mental health and well-being

Why sleep matters

Sleep is not just about rest. It plays a central role in how we think, feel, and function each day.

When sleep is disrupted, it can affect nearly every aspect of well-being, contributing to anxiety, depression, difficulty concentrating, low energy, and increased stress. Over time, poor sleep can make it harder for the mind and body to recover, even when other treatments are in place.

For many individuals, sleep challenges are not just a symptom but a contributing factor to ongoing mental health concerns. Addressing sleep can help create a more stable foundation for emotional regulation, resilience, and overall healing.

At Kalea Wellness, we view sleep as an essential part of the larger picture. By understanding and improving sleep patterns, we support both immediate symptoms and long-term outcomes.

What we treat

We evaluate and treat a range of sleep concerns in Henderson and the surrounding Las Vegas area, from difficulty falling or staying asleep to more complex sleep disorders. Each plan is tailored to the individual, taking into account your symptoms, history, and overall health.

Conditions we commonly address include:

  • Insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep)

  • Sleep apnea (breathing disruptions during sleep)

  • Narcolepsy

  • Restless legs syndrome

  • Circadian rhythm disorders

Sleep challenges can present in different ways, and not all concerns fit neatly into a single diagnosis. Our goal is to understand the full picture and provide care that reflects your specific needs.

Our approach to sleep care

Sleep is complex. It is influenced by biology, mental health, lifestyle, and underlying medical conditions. For many individuals, lasting improvement requires looking at all of these factors together rather than focusing on a single symptom.

At Kalea Wellness, our approach to sleep medicine is both comprehensive and personalized. As a medical clinic, we evaluate for underlying sleep disorders and provide evidence-based treatment when appropriate. This may include diagnostic testing, such as at-home sleep studies or coordination with a local sleep lab, as well as medical management when needed. Care is guided by a physician who is board-certified in sleep medicine, ensuring that both common and complex sleep disorders are appropriately evaluated and treated.

At the same time, we recognize that sleep is closely connected to emotional well-being. Stress, anxiety, trauma, and patterns of thought can all influence how we sleep. When relevant, we take an integrative approach, helping you understand how these factors may be contributing and how to address them in a meaningful way.

Our goal is not only to improve sleep, but to support your overall health, functioning, and quality of life.

What to expect

Evaluation

Your care begins with a Comprehensive Assessment evaluation to understand your sleep patterns, symptoms, and overall health.

This includes a detailed discussion of your history, current concerns, and any factors that may be affecting your sleep.

Testing (if needed)

If indicated, we may recommend diagnostic testing to evaluate for underlying sleep disorders.

This often includes at-home sleep studies, allowing for convenient assessment in your own environment. When appropriate, we also coordinate care with a local sleep lab for more advanced testing.

Treatment

Following your evaluation, we will review your results and develop a personalized treatment plan.

Depending on your needs, this may include medical management, targeted therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), or support to help improve sleep patterns over time.

Follow-up

Care is collaborative and evolves based on your response to treatment.

Follow-up visits allow us to monitor progress, make adjustments, and support both short-term improvements and long-term outcomes.
